This hotel is situated in a residential area of San Antonio, 1.5 km from a sandy beach and the resort centre and 2 km from the famous Lago Martiánez.

The Acuario has fantastic views of Mount Teide and Puerto de la Cruz and due to its excellent location it is particularly popular with couples and young holiday-makers who seek simple yet friendly accommodation with good levels of service.

During the day, guests at the Acuario like to soak up the sun by the outdoor swimming pool and use the pool bar for light snacks and drinks. For more substantial meals, the hotel has a restaurant, which offers international cuisine. For those guests wishing to venture outside the hotel, there is also a bus service to the resort centre.

Pleasant

The room was tiny but comfortable. the bathroom was almost shockingly clean, even though quite tiny as well. value for money, still ok probably. you get what you pay for.

There was this unpleasant smell in the room which even after keeping the balcony door open the whole time, did not go away. If you are arriving with a car, there is very limited parking space around the hotel. at the reception also not the nicest welcoming.

It was very clean, the room had a lot of light. The soap was to die for (very secured to the walls); I actually took a photo of it as I liked it so much.

The hot water took a bit of time to come thru at times. The location was up a big hill... Good to be a little fitter. Parking was an issue so it was better to be back a little early just to find the place otherwise its a walk up the hill. It would be good to have bed side lights , left and right, as the main light was too bright. The floor was rather cold being winter so mats on the floor would be good.

It was alright apart from afew aspects but overall very worth the money :)

We liked that it's not very far to the city center and the breakfast was delicious and the bed was comfortable and warm and we liked the balcony and the amazing view. The man at the reception was very friendly and gave us so many tips and recommendations on the Island:)

Unfortunately no fridge and no option to put our food in the fridge on my 30th birthday we had afew things but we weren't allowed. The shower wasn't great, it was very hard and thin... and also very high up so that definitely needs improvement. And a bathmatt would be good because its easy to slip in the bathtub where you shower. And the walls were very thin. We heard our neighbour snoring and it was hard to sleep and there were ants everywhere but otherwise it was really nice

Quiet base for exploring Tenerife

The hotel was clean. The neighbourhood was quiet. The breakfast was a varied, eat all you can buffet. The staff were very friendly.

The room had no 'low' lighting, just one big, bright, glaring light in the ceiling. It is about a mile from the town centre but, be warned, it's all uphill on way home, quite a climb. They ran out of black tea bags at breakfast time! Knowing how popular these are surely it wouldn't be hard to make sure you have more than enough in stock? They're not expensive and keep forever.

Rooms are very noisy. You can hear talking people, TV’s, etc. from surrounding rooms or walking on the corridor… Even if you close windows, doors…

I wasn't on holiday so didn't mind the negatives. For a holiday it would have been disappointing.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was a reasonable size with a decent shower. Two great bars within easy walking distance.

Interactions at reception (Check-in and paying restaurant and bar bills) were slow, possibly due to a slow computer system and insufficient reception staff at key times. The room was small and cramped with uncomfortable beds. The buffet dinner, although varied, had poor-quality food. Only one waiter was in the large dining room, setting and clearing tables and also acting as the barman. He was friendly and helpful but horribly overworked.

Spacious room and good breakfast

The room is spacious and clean. The view from the balcony is nice (we could see both the sea and the mountain). The breakfast was great

from balcony, from top floor view is superb. Room is not like in the pictures, very old design.

If you think that rooms in reality will looks like in picture you will be wrong. Rooms look like from mid 2000's era with only ONE electro socket far from bed. The only what you will like in this hotel will be only balcony, if you will book room with balcony of course.

about cleaning. This hotel is understaffed with cleaners. Cleaning lady run there like crazy. rooms was cleaned ok, but like in many big hotels in some places was high dust layers, especially, on the back TV, and in bathroom in on top doors.
